Egrye is a custom variable typeface built from the ground up in Glyphs 3. Designed as a full exploration of form, rhythm, and movement, the project focuses on pushing how far a single system can stretch while still holding together as a coherent voice. Egrye blends soft curves with sharp modular structures, creating a typeface that shifts between expressive personality and clean functionality. The process involved iterative testing, refining weight transitions, and shaping a variable axis that feels fluid rather than mechanical, resulting in a type family with a flexible, experimental character.
